CONNECTING TO A BETTER TOMORROW

2nd Street allows formerly incarcerated individuals to access the services they need quickly and effectively to become productive members of the Berkshire community.

With astounding speed, this community collaboration has built a physical and operational infrastructure and started seeing clients. Since its opening, 2nd Street has revamped the way formerly incarcerated individuals re-enter their respective communities, with services including crisis intervention, housing, workforce training and employment opportunities, referrals and intakes, transportation, counseling and legal, and substance abuse treatment options. It’s these kinds of resources, supports, and programming that provide a dynamic and transformative program for the clients of 2nd Street, contribute to a skilled workforce, and build a stronger community.”  – Former Pittsfield Mayor Linda Tyer
