Research and community leaders confirm that incarcerated individuals who receive support, greatly increase their chances to continue on a path to responsible citizenship and positive engagement.

Data from the Massachusetts Department of Corrections (2017 Office of Strategic Planning and Research) indicates that the recidivism rate among the formerly incarcerated in Berkshire County was 36%, one of the highest rates among counties in the Commonwealth.

2nd Street is committed to:
