PITTSFIELD — Formerly incarcerated people, including those who may have been justice involved and/or who have a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) file, may find employment opportunities at the upcoming Second Chances Job and Resource Fair.

The job fair, which is free and open to the public, will run from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Berkshire Innovation Center, 45 Woodlawn Ave. Walk-ins are welcome; no registration is required.

The event is presented by Berkshire Community College, in collaboration with 2nd Street Second Chances, Berkshire County Jail and House of Correction, Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, MassHire Berkshire Career Center, and the BIC.

Roundtrip shuttle service will be provided for those who need transportation. Pickup at 3:30 p.m. is available at the following locations:

Joseph Scelsi Intermodal Transportation Center, 1 Columbus Ave.; Rural Recovery Resources, 67 State Road, Great Barrington; and the Main Street bus stop in North Adams.

Area employers who are interested in participating in the fair must register in advance. The registration deadline is May 15 or until filled. Employers must have open positions they are seeking to fill immediately and must have a second chances/CORI-friendly hiring policy. To register, visit berkshirecc.edu/job-fair.
